Goal Update + Funny Picture Wednesday, Dec 21 2005

I have been doing pretty good with my goals lately. I have gotten a better amount of combat xp over the past few days then I expected. I have advanced to 88 attack and defense and 89 hits. This has given me combat level 108. I do not have pictures of most of the advances becuase they disappear so quickly but I did get a picture of the hits advance.

My goal I am working on now is to get 110 combat before I start training all my skills to atleast 70. To get this I will need to even out all my combat stats at 90. (Attack, defense, strength, and hits) Strength is there but the rest need some work. I plan to be able to get this over my break off school.

Runescape Christmas Update Tuesday, Dec 20 2005

I got around to doing the Christmas Update this week. I liked it better then the previous ones before they stopped drops. It was much better then asking santa for a yoyo which you can pretty much do nothing with. =\ The scarves and hats look nice. I like the green and red one the best. It was boring doing the tasks though. It lagged my computer a lot becuase of the masses of people that were there. Still I rate this update 5/5.

I made a few extra boxes of ornaments and decorated the tree in Varrok to get the puppte toy, which is just as bad as the yoyo. Its completly boring to use. I got a picture though:

I only caught the tail end of it but it was still fun to talk with some of the people I only see on the forums. I also got to meet some new people. :) I got only one screen shot of the party. Here it is:


After the party I met with Mike and gave him a little christmas present/donation to rsbandb. I have a screen shot of us talking and a few other rsbandb people there. I think it was Devinmnz (sorry for the spelling) and one other person. Here it is:

 

My Runescape Character Sunday, Dec 18 2005

In Runescape my character name is 1.Wizard.1. A lot of people ask me how I got this name. I do agree with you it is a very strange name, but heres how I came up with it. Back about 4 years ago now when I started to play the game I made an account. I can’t remember the name of the account now. While I was playing with this account I wandered down to Wizard’s Tower. I saw the Wizards there and decided I wanted to make an account that was named Wizard. The npc already had the name so it wouldn’t let me use the name “Wizard” so I had to think of my own. The 1’s just happened to be what I choose to make it possible to have Wizard in my name.

Now, about my character. Like I said earlier I have been playing about 4 years. I really enjoy to play the game. If it wasn’t for a few key people I probably wouldn’t play any more. Those are a few of my friends I have known on Runescape since the beginning. We have played the game together all the way. My overall best friend I have known since probably about week 1. I was level 10 or so and he was 50. Over the years we have established a great relationship and also advanced greatly. I am now level 108 and he is 120 plus. I give credit to my career to him. He has helped me through many problems as have I with him.

The account I have is not all that well rounded. I used to be well rounded but not anymore. I decided I was going to get my combat skills high becuase that would enable me to train other skills easliy. That is how I have made my goal of getting 110 combat then training all skills to 70 atleast. That goal I did not make up. My friend, the one I talked about above, had the exact same goal. We both play the game the same way pretty much.

I will update more about my Runescape character and life later as more comes to me to write about.

 

Sky Diving from the Edge of Space Saturday, Dec 17 2005

Joe Kittinger was the first man in space. He lifted from earth in a hot air balloon (experimenting effects of high altitude on the human body) and rose about 30 KM above earth in the emptiness of space. Once he reached the edge of space .. he did something amazing .. he JUMPED (with a video camera)

There are pictures at the digg story. This is pretty cool. I saw something about this on tv not too long ago. Very interesting. The show said he was about to die as he landed. They had to give him urgent medical help to keep him alive. It all turned out well and he made the record.

Blog Opened Saturday, Dec 17 2005

Today I registered an account and got a few things set up. I still have a lot of work to do. I do not like any of the themes they made avaiable to me. I found a nice one but I don’t know how to install it. That is my next project. I just wanted to let everyone know I am up and running now.

I will try and make a post every day about anything interesting that happens in my life, anything that happens in runescape, and anything that I find somewhere on the internet. Please come check in every day and leave your comments. :)
